Field Placements exist for MSW & BSW students and other students interested in pursuing a profession in the field of mental health and child welfare. These are internships that are coordinated through university programs. Our Field Placement/Internships are well suited for undergraduate and Foundation Year graduate students. Students’ experiences tend to be clinical in nature and include: client intakes, administering and scoring assessments; co-facilitating support groups for parents and children; participation in trainings with heavy emphasis on attachment theory, trauma, FASD, adoption competency, and more. Students are required to participate in weekly individual and weekly reflective supervision, and are involved in special projects within the Counseling Centers and the larger agency of Adoptions Together.
