About the Keynote Speaker
Join us for the Voices of Transracial Adoptees conference on April 21st, 2018. This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker, Rhonda Roorda, an accomplished writer, speaker, advocate for transracial families. Rhonda will share her experiences as an African American growing up in a white family and will discuss learning from and writing about other transracial adoptees, their siblings and their parents. She will talk about her new book on voices from the black community addressing transracial adoption.
- A discussion panel featuring international and domestically adopted transracial adoptees.
- Break-out sessions that feature engaging discussions on various topics including clinical issues, creating diverse communities and preparing your child for the tough stuff.
- A community lunch aimed at fostering connections and new relationships between attendees with the goal of strengthening community for our children.
Professional attendees are eligible to receive three continuing education units (CEUs) for attendance.
