When Sabrina was just five years old, her life changed when she became suddenly ill and entered a vegetative state. Despite her early difficulties in life, Sabrina does well in her current medical placement. She is loved by many in her life, including her biological mother, who visits on birthdays, current and former nurses, and her CASA worker. Although Sabrina is mostly non-responsive, she does smile and flinch when she hears her mother’s voice, and responds well to men’s voices. Sabrina enjoys listening to music, listening to her favorite cartoons, and getting her hair done. When in school, Sabrina at times reacts to object-to-skin touch stimulation. Sabrina needs a special family who will love her as she is and ensure she continues to receive proper medical care for her needs.
