Adoptions Together Mourns the Loss of Janice Pearse, Founder of Our International Adoption Program
Janice Pearse
Ellicott City, MD: It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic loss of Janice Pearce, founder of Adoptions Together’s International Adoption Programming. Janice joined our team in 1992 after becoming an adoptive parent to her daughter, Hannah, from Ukraine. Under her leadership, more than 1,500 children from Eastern Europe, South America, Africa, Central America and Asia joined the loving families in the United States. Janice’s desire to make an impact on children living in orphanages in Eastern Europe motivated her to co-found Children in Common, an organization that provided financial aid and material support to orphanages in Eastern Europe and Russia. Her impact on children and families has been immeasurable. Janice and her husband David raised 3 incredible children together- one son by birth, and two daughters they adopted from Eastern Europe. She is survived by them, one grandson, and the thousands of families she helped to form during her tenure with us.
