Pregnancy Services
Sometimes a pregnancy occurs at a time when you are not prepared to give your child everything you believe he or she deserves. You may not have the money to support a child, or have a place to live. Your family may not be supportive, or you may feel you are not ready to assume the many responsibilities involved in parenting a child. You may be in a situation where the demands of parenting take more than you have to give at this time. An unplanned pregnancy causes you to ask questions you never thought you'd have to face, and are unprepared to answer alone.
Sometimes making an adoption plan can be the most loving and responsible act a parent can do. Considering adoption is an active step in assuring that your child will have all of his or her needs met.
At Adoptions Together we provide a supportive environment while you make your decision. Our social workers will guide you through the emotional and legal issues, as you are making your decision. We will never pressure you to develop an adoption plan. If you choose to parent your child, we will help you find the best support resources that are available to you.
If you decide to develop an adoption plan we will help you to create the plan that best meets your needs while keeping the best interests of your child foremost.
If you are pregnant and not sure what to do, please call us at our toll free number: 1-800-439-0233 or contact Susan Ogden, Domestic Program Director at telephone (301)439-2900 or email Susan at sogden@adoptionstogether.org.
