Meet Our Counselors
My name is Lindsey and I’m an adoption counselor at Adoptions Together. As a member of our adoption team, I counsel and advocate for women and men considering adoption. My job is to be an advocate for women and men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and want information in order to make the best decisions for their baby, themselves and their family. The services we provide are free and voluntary, and appointments are made to best fit with our client’s schedules.
If you are considering adoption, we can work together to figure out what the best plan is to meet your needs and the needs of your child. I can help you understand your legal rights, and guide you through the adoption process. If you don’t have health insurance, I can help you apply for Medical Assistance so you can get prenatal care. If you decide you’d like to make an adoption plan, I can help you choose a caring adoptive family who meets your preferences.
The goal of our program is to provide non-judgmental support and to help our clients make informed decisions about adoption. We are here to help you through the adoption process, and with the emotional impact, both before and after your baby is born. Whatever adoption you choose--fully open and disclosed or confidential--we can help you find the family who wants to adopt your child.
Making an adoption plan for your child can be very difficult and emotional for long after you leave the hospital. We also offer support before and after the birth and placement of your child.
