Meet Our Counselors

My name is Jen and I am an Adoption Counselor at Adoptions Together.  My job to is be an advocate for women and men who are experiencing an unintended pregnancy and want information in order to make the best decisions for their baby, themselves and their family.

If you are thinking about adoption, I will inform you about your legal rights and make sure you have all the information about adoption you  need to make a good decision. I will also help you apply for Medical Assistance so you can get prenatal care.  If you decide adoption is the best plan for your child, I will help you make the best plan possible, from choosing a family and filling out paperwork, to negotiating contact agreements between birth and adoptive families. After the baby is born I will counsel you before and after the birth and adoption plan.

My services are free and voluntary, If you are trying to decide what to do and think an adoption may be the best option, I will  help make sure things go as smoothly as possible. I support whatever is best for you and your family, even if, after receiving information, you decide it is not an adoption plan.

Making an adoption plan for your child can be very difficult and emotional for long after you leave the hospital.  I am available to counsel you before and after the birth and placement of your child.
