International Adoption Program Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijan government has recently passed a new adoption law. New procedures are being put into place. When the new procedures are in place, the dossier submission and referral processes will resume.

The Children in Need of Adoption
Boys and girls, infant, toddler and older children are in need of adoption. Since the people in this country are predominately Muslim, there is a reduced risk of prenatal alcohol exposure.
The children are all living in orphanages. As with most children living in orphanages, some of the children may have some form of developmental delays. Many of these delays are rapidly overcome once a child is placed in a loving, attentive and secure family.
Most of the children we place are physically and emotionally healthy. Our coordinators make every attempt to obtain as much medical and social information on the child as is possible. All of this information will be presented to you - recognizing that the reports may not be accurate or complete. It is not uncommon for a medical report to contain a diagnosis of some type of physical, hereditary or developmental problem. Although some of these diagnoses may be accurate, many are unsubstantiated by U.S. physicians upon the child's medical examination in America.
You will receive brief medical information and a video of each child. A family may arrange for a more extensive medical examination at an additional cost.
