Subsequent Adoption Training (Pre-Adoption)

The decision to pursue a second, third (or fourth, or fifth…) adoption is an exciting step toward growing your family. While some of the joys and challenges of the adoption process remain constant, many new questions may present themselves in a subsequent adoption. When do you tell your child or children about the decision to adopt again? What if this child is a difference race than the other children in your family? What if they have a different kind of relationship with their birth family? This discussion based training offers the opportunity to talk about subsequent adoption with professionals and experienced families. Participants are encouraged to share their stories, questions, and concerns with the group. The Subsequent Adoption Training costs $250.00.
Please note: This training is intended to be taken in place of Foundations of Adoptive Parenting for subsequent adoptions.
