AdoptionWorks Training

AdoptionWorks is a placement program of Adoptions Together that facilitates the adoption of children of all ages who are growing up in the public foster care system throughout the country. In this training, families are prepared to parent children with emotional challenges through a 27-hour specialized training program. The training is designed for parents who are considering the adoption of a school-aged child. Focus is on developing awareness in the prospective parent while teaching effective parenting strategies. All of the following 2010 training sessions are held in our Silver Spring office.

February 27; March 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27 (April 10 snow date)

April 17, 24, 27; May 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 22
